This Privacy Policy describes the principles and procedures used by Optihint Inc. (collectively “Optihint,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) when collecting, using, and disclosing your information through your use of the Optihint Service (“Service”). We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy does not apply to information we collect by other means (including offline) or from other sources. Capitalized terms not defined in this Privacy Policy have the meanings assigned to them in our Terms of Use. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

We collect information from you when you: Create or register an account or manage your account. Upload information, data, or content to our Service. Interact with us via email, chat, or any other method. Contact our support team. Integrate third-party products or services with your Optihint account. Visit any of our websites or download our applications. Interact with other Optihint users and guests in our community forums. Participate in promotions, demonstrations, contests, surveys, or other marketing activities.

Information You Provide

You provide us with information about yourself, such as your name and email address, when you register an account with the Service, including connecting to the Service through a third-party service or through “following,” “becoming a fan,” adding the Optihint app, etc., on a third-party website or network. Your name, email address, and other information you choose to provide in the Service will be visible and discoverable by other users in accordance with your Service settings. We may use your email address to send you Service-related notifications (including any legally required notices, in lieu of postal communication). We may also use your contact information to send marketing messages. If you do not wish to receive these messages, you may unsubscribe by following the instructions in the message. If you correspond with us by email, we may retain the contents of your email messages, your email address, and our responses. If you choose to use our invitation service to invite a friend to the Service, we will ask for that person’s email address and automatically send an invitation email. Content

You also provide us with information through the content you post in the Service. Your content and metadata about your content may be viewable by other users in accordance with your Service settings. Optihint may, but is not obligated to, monitor content you post in the Service. We may remove any information you post for any reason or no reason.

Cookies

When you use the Service, we may send one or more “cookies”—a small data file—to your computer to uniquely identify your browser and help Optihint log you in faster and improve site navigation. A cookie may transmit anonymous information about how you use the Service. A persistent cookie remains on your hard drive after you close your browser so it can be used by your browser on subsequent visits to the Service. Persistent cookies can be removed by following your web browser’s instructions. A session cookie is temporary and disappears after you close your browser. You can reset your web browser settings to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, some features of the Service may not function properly if the ability to accept cookies is disabled.

Log Files

When you use the Service, our servers automatically record certain information sent by your web browser. These server logs may include information such as your web request, IP address, software and hardware used, browser type, Optihint pages or features used, transaction dates and timestamps, referring/exiting pages and URLs, click counts, how you interact with links in the Service, domain names, landing pages, viewed pages, mobile carrier, and other similar information.

Clear GIF Information

When you use the Service, we may use clear GIFs (also known as web beacons) to track internet usage patterns. Additionally, we may also use clear GIFs in HTML emails sent to our users to track which emails recipients open. This information is used to provide more accurate reporting and improve Optihint for our users.

Geolocation Information

When you use the Service via or through a mobile device, we may access, collect, track, and/or remotely store “location data,” which may include GPS coordinates (e.g., latitude and/or longitude) or similar information regarding the location of your mobile device. Location data may convey information about how you use the Service. Location data does not collect or transmit any personally identifiable information about you by itself. Location data may be used in combination with personally identifiable information. Some Service features, particularly location-based ones, may not function properly if the use or availability of location data is restricted or disabled.

Device Identifiers

When you access or use the Service through a mobile device, we may access, collect, track, and/or remotely store one or more “device identifiers.” Device identifiers are small data files or similar data structures stored on or associated with your mobile device that uniquely identify your mobile device and are used to enhance the Service. A device identifier may be data stored in association with the device’s hardware, data stored in association with the device’s operating system or other software, or data sent to the device by us. A device identifier may transmit information about how you use the Service. A device identifier does not collect or transmit any personally identifiable information about you by itself. A device identifier may be used in combination with personally identifiable information. A device identifier may persist on your device to help you log in faster and improve navigation within the Service. Some Service features may not function properly if the use or availability of device identifiers is restricted or disabled. Optihint may access, collect, and/or store device identifiers when Optihint Services are enabled.

Blog and Community

Our Service offers public community features, including blogs and forums. You should be aware that any information you provide in these areas may be read, collected, and used by others who have access to them. Your posts may remain even after your account is canceled.

Legal Compliance and Law Enforcement Requests; Protection of Optihint’s Rights

Optihint may disclose your personal information if required by law or court order, or if we believe it is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation, or legal request; to protect the safety of any person; to address fraud, security, or technical issues; or to protect the rights or property of Optihint.

Business Transfers

As our business evolves, we may buy or sell assets or business offerings. Customer information, email, and visitor data are typically among the transferred business assets in such transactions. We may also transfer or assign such information in connection with corporate spin-offs, mergers, or liquidations.

How We Protect Your Information

The security of your information is important to us. When you enter sensitive information (such as a credit card number) as part of our service, we encrypt the transmission of that information using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. We do not store your credit card information or other sensitive data on our servers. For any transaction, we use secure payment gateway services to ensure safe payment procedures. Your credit card information is never transmitted through our website, as the payment gateway handles collection, storage, and encryption of your data. Optihint employs commercially reasonable physical, administrative, and technical safeguards to preserve the integrity and security of your personal information once it is received. For example, we regularly and routinely back up your data to help prevent data loss and facilitate recovery. We also protect against common web attack vectors and implement firewalls and access restrictions on our servers to protect our network and better secure your information. No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee or warrant the absolute security of any information you transmit or store in the Service. In the event that personal information is compromised as a result of a security breach, Optihint will promptly notify affected individuals in accordance with the notice procedures outlined in this Privacy Policy, or as otherwise required by applicable law.
